autism spectrum disorder

I have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It's a condition that primarily affects how one processes sensory information and inhibits one's ability to read social cues.

I have some difficulty with empathy. I may struggle with certain aspects of socialization, such as reciprocating questions (returning a "how are you?", for example). Most times I can read the room, but not always, and especially less often with new friends. I'm also horrendous at portraying sarcasm so I tend to stick to only the most obvious uses of it if at all. Please use tone indicators if you feel they might be necessary!I will sometimes leave messages on "read" or take frequent breaks from social settings in case I am socially exhausted or overstimulated. I don't mean to be rude, I will respond or return as soon as I can.

Please tell me if my actions (or lack thereof) come off as rude, inappropriate, or selfish in any way whatsoever.
